PDX MUSICIAN

I have been a member of the PDX Portland International Airport Music Program since 2018. The many wonderful encounters I’ve had with travelers are documented on my @PaulatPDX Facebook and Instagram pages. As a wonderful summary, here is a recent interview I was honored to do with Bonnie Silkman of KPTV 12.

WATERFRONT

My ongoing opportunity as a member of the PDX Music Program has led to many other gigging opportunities and ultimately the formation of my band, WaterFront. It began as a trio with me, Dave Clinton on percussion and vocals, and Scott Stevens on violin, lead guitar and vocals. Along the way we added Adam Owings on bass and vocals. Then we became a full-fledged band, adding Jackson Jackson on drums and vocals. I love playing with these amazing friends who are equally amazing musicians!

“DESPERADO REPRISE” IN ASPEN

A few years ago, I had the amazing opportunity to record a music video at a studio formerly owned by Glenn Frey, co-founder of my favorite band, The Eagles. The studio is located just outside of Aspen, CO, in a beautiful, picturesque setting. I chose the reprised version of the title track from the Desperado album, and the highlight for me was playing that iconic chord progression on Glenn’s Bluthner baby grand. The memories will live forever.
